Golf Snack: Almonds

It’s an ongoing conversation between me and my husband. We talk about them in the kitchen, at the grocery store, in the clubhouse and on the golf course: golf snacks. Well, I guess that I am doing most of the talking about golf snacks and he is waiting for me to decide what I want. He is usually fine with the standard peanut butter crackers and is far more concerned about how far he will drive the ball than what snack he will eat. Any time you want to know if golf snacks are important, just go golfing with a group of women. I have participated in golf outings where you would have thought we were going to have to spend the weekend because we had so many snacks.
I am always on the lookout for golf snacks and have decided to start trying more items and sharing my thoughts with you.
The golf snack feature today is actually a regular on my list of golf snacks: almonds. After purchasing a bag of almonds, I measure out the recommended serving size of nuts and place them into a resealable plastic bag. They are easy to enjoy in North Carolina’s hot summer months. They do not melt on my golf glove and are easy to consume. Almonds, unlike gooey or over-packaged snacks, are not a distraction while I am trying to concentrate on my golf game.
