We’ll Just Overlook That Rule...

The United States Golf Association (USGA) has a long list of rules for golf and even a book on the decisions of golf rules. When it comes to my adherence to these rules, I have to admit that during recreational rounds of golf, my friends and I regularly allow a mulligan on the first tee. My hope is to get the game started off on a good shot. I’ve seen a lot of groups do this, and I think it’s fine as long as everyone in the group is comfortable with it. What I find unacceptable is when groups take mulligans while people are waiting in foursomes behind them.
