How Much is Too Much for Golf Balls?

As a teenager, any golf ball would work for my golf game.  Pilfering golf balls from my dad’s golf bag was my favorite way to acquire a new supply for my outings.  The price of sporting goods, including golf balls, has increased since those days.  The detail involved in creating today’s golf ball is amazing and a lot more expensive.  This leads to the questions, “Is there a price that is too high for golf balls?  How much is too much?”  I have not been able to decide what I think a maximum price for a dozen golf balls should be.   This is one of those issues best determined by the free market.  In fact, instead of throwing out a price, I will respond with one simple idea: make a golf ball that guarantees I’ll never three-putt again and I’ll swap my next designer handbag for a dozen golf balls.
