Washing Machine Delay

Out of nowhere, my washing machine died. Repairs would be too costly; with no other options, I decided that the washing machine had to be replaced. This became a hurdle standing in the way of any chance I had to play golf that afternoon. I really wanted to practice my putting so I could stop the creep of three-putts onto my scorecard. Once evening came, though, I saw a window of opportunity to get away and I talked my husband into driving to the course with me.
My husband and I were the only people on the putting green and there was something oddly comforting about the quiet evening spent putting golf balls across the green.
