If you are a subscriber to this blog, you already know I do not enjoy being anywhere near a snake.  In fact, I do not want to see snakes on television, let alone in person.  One day this week, I was rushing out the door to a golf outing.  As I started down the sidewalk, I noticed a hawk flying overhead, and it was carrying something in its mouth.  At first, I thought it was a stick…but then I realized that the hawk was about to fly over me carrying a snake!  Thankfully, I saw him in time to stop and watched carefully until he and his slithery snack were out of sight.  Let’s not even discuss the hysteria that would have ensued if the hawk would have dropped the snake.  At the first opportunity, I quickly got into the car and drove to the golf course.  The first few holes of my golf outing were a welcome opportunity to work out some tensions, but I did keep a cautious eye to the sky... 

P.S.  If any hawks are reading this, please feel free to remove snakes from my yard, but avoid flying over my head!
